The top panel covers the top edge of doors and drawers as it protrudes slightly at the front and sides. So the cabinet gets one on the top nice ending. In addition, a cover shelf covers the gap between the cabinet and the wall, preventing dust deposits behind the cabinet wall. The cover plates can be placed on wall cupboards, midi cupboards, shelves or chests of drawers, for example.
